I have already used the contact form over three weeks ago to request the grit bin be refilled. It is still empty! The bin has been moved off the road now, but still needs securing. Filling it so that we can deal with further snow and ice this winter would be much appreciated, and would also secure it. We do not get a gritter or a snow plough, we never have, so rely on the grit.  · 41w

Hi, just seen your post on the community forum. I don't mind you sharing pictures of my children with the winning Christmas card designs on the forum, however I would prefer it if you took down the picture showing their names. I do think permission should also have been asked before these were put on Facebook. Not doing it to be awkward. Just wasn't expecting to see their names and faces on here. Thanks  · 1y

You: Hi Joshua, At a recent meeting Councillors reported complaints received from staff at medical centres in Stocksbridge and Deepcar and also Stocksbridge Post Office being subjected to negative comments for the services at the medical centres and post office. Cllrs asked that I write asking that you monitor and remove posts/comments that are offensive to individuals/staff at these organisations. They are all working hard under extremely difficult circumstances. Complaints should be directed at management as a whole not at individuals. Kind Regards  · 3y

You: The Town Council are wanting to put together a list of all defibrillators in the Stocksbridge, Deepcar and Bolsterstone area. We have been made aware that your organisation may have an appliance. Could you confirm the following:- a) Whether you do have a defibrillator b) If so, is it accessible to the public and for what time periods c) The location of the appliance if publicly accessible d) Are you happy to be included on a list for public use e) Any other information you may wish to provide There are various websites/mobile apps that members of the public can access to ascertain the location of their nearest defibrillator. Any organisation who has an appliance needs to register with ‘The Circuit’ and/or ‘Heartsafe’ in order that the locations are up to date. REMEMBRANCE DAY PARADE
A great turnout for this year's Remembrance Parade. A huge thank you to everyone who attended and those who helped the Town Council with the event, particularly the Stocksbridge branch of Royal British Legion and Ponti's for providing refreshments for the dignitaries. Everyone's support in turning out to mark this important day is most appreciated as always.

EAST WARD COUNCILLOR VACANCY - APPLY BEFORE 11TH NOVEMBER There is a Councillor vacancy at Stocksbridge Town Council for the East Ward covering the Deepcar area. Nominations are invited and can be accepted from anyone living within a three mile radius of the Town Council area. Anyone wishing to be considered for co-option to the vacancy should write with their request to the Town Council office, to be received by noon on 11th November 2025. It is intended that Councillors will make the final decision at the Town Council meeting to be held on 13th November 2025. Further details can be obtained from the Town Council office.
