Stocksbridge, a small town located about 10 miles north of Sheffield, lies on the edge of the Pennines and the Peak District National Park. It is home to Liberty Steels, a prominent British manufacturer specializing in aerospace steel products.
Sheffield City Council has launched a public survey on proposals to improve bus reliability, safety and accessibility in the Upper Don Valley, including Hillsborough, Middlewood, Fox Hill and Southey.
The proposals aim to improve bus journey times and reliability, make streets safer and easier to use, enhance walking and wheeling routes, and improve access to public transport.
The consultation is open until Wednesday 4 November 2026.
