Stocksbridge, a small town located about 10 miles north of Sheffield, lies on the edge of the Pennines and the Peak District National Park. It is home to Liberty Steels, a prominent British manufacturer specializing in aerospace steel products.
The North Local Area Committee has announced the launch of The Great North Fund 2026.
The North LAC has allocated £40,000 to the fund and invites applications from charitable groups of up to £5,000 to support activity in the North LAC area up to the end of March 2027. This year’s funding round begins 10th July and closes on Friday 28th August 2026, with groups being notified of decisions before the end of September 2026.
